Kodachrome Basin

Sunday, March 25

At sunrise, Andrew, Lorraine, PeterK and I go up the Eagle's View Trail, which is a short steep climb right up to the rim of the little bowl that the campground is in. We let the others sleep in.

Later, PeterG gets up and takes a picture of us standing up there from the camp site. You can see us if you view the frame large (8th frame).

Jody was looking for phallic symbols in the mud spires on the drive yesterday. Well, if we don't have the perfect phallic structure right here then I don't know what. As usual, it's much bigger than it looks, the "balls" alone are the size of a large house. It turns out it's not allowed to go climbing up there.

And so we break camp, taking our time about it, and make use of the shower facilities too.

I'm trying out my synthetic "desert shirt" ($50 at MEC). I look almost too well dressed to be here, even though everything I'm wearing is hardcore synthetic outdoor gear.
