The next hike in the Adirondacks approaches....
Overall difficulty: medium-easy
Scenic Highlights: Indian head and fish hawk cliffs, Lower ausable lake,
good close-up views of the Great range.
Details:
Destination: Mt. Colvin
Elevation: 4057 (ft)
Total distance: roughly 18kms
Total elevation gain: roughly 2800 ft.
First and last part of this trail is quite easy, being a well-used
gravel road
that is fairly level.
Time: Saturday, June 16.
Leave time: 5:00am
Rough arrival time: 8:00am
Start hike time: 8:30am
End hike time: 3:30-4:00pm
Supper at authentic mexican restaurant in Saranac Lake: 5:00pm
Drive home: 6:30pm -> 9:30pm
