In September 2001, Andrew Lavigne and (after some persuasion) Markus Wandel went to a mountaineering course at the Columbia Icefield in the Rocky Mountains.

As usual, Markus, with the aid of digital camera and unlimited storage space, engaged in saturation-level photography. To keep the size of the thumbnail pages reasonable, the pictures are broken up as follows.

Thursday Evening - Trip to Calgary

Friday

Friday Evening - Cedar Ridge Hike

Saturday - First Course Day

Saturday Evening - Exploring along the Icefields Parkway

Sunday - Second Course Day

Monday - Mt. Athabasca Ascent Day

Tuesday - Return to Ottawa

Pictures whose names start with "ForMarkus" are scanned from Andrew's slides.
