Our next stop is the Superstition Mountains, home of all the Lost Dutchman legends. Being immediately east of Phoenix, the Lost Dutchman State Park campground is full, so we drive into the mountains' interior via a very twisty mountain road in search of other camping. We find it at the Tortilla Flat campground. Even it is fairly "developed" in a close-to-the-big-city way, and not entirely to my taste. The scenery is good though.
